It's My Park Day: Saturday, May 17

Please join PUPS as we do a spring clean up of Fort Greene Park the morning of Saturday, May 17 (rain date Sunday, May 18). Clean-up starts at 8:00 am and we hope to be finished by 10:00 am. The Parks Department will supply shovels and dirt for filling holes. Please bring your own bags from home for picking up trash and dog waste.

Check in with PUPS at the Visitor Station near the monument around 8:00 am. We need the dog community to come out and show we care about Fort Greene Park! See you there!

The 15th Annual Great PUPkin Happened!

The 15th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest took place on October 26th. Photographer Christopher Franko, actress/activist Rosie Perez, and Gothamist Executive Editor Jen Chung joined us as judges, and actress/singer/blogger Elizabeth Robinson was our Master of Ceremonies. They all had tough jobs and we thank them profusely!

Here is Jasmin Chang's awesome gallery of photos on the PUPS Flickr gallery. You can also check out our Facebook page (and like us!) for lots more 2013 PUPkin photos. There are also scads of excellent photos on ItchyKnows, Gothamist and GlossNY. And for a stroll down memory lane, check out photos of past contests at Kate on Clinton blog, New York magazine, Kizzbeth's Flickr, and The New York Times Local Blog. The official Fort Greene PUPkin photo gallery of all 15 crazy years of past PUPkins is here.

It was a wonderful fall day of celebration in the best neighborhood in Brooklyn….FORT GREENE!!

Five Block Sound did a great job running sound, Prospect BArk helped out tremendously with promotion and cheerleading, and Brooklyn Bark once again joined us on the plaza with gifts and their fun prize wheel. Thanks also go to Kent Associates for donating the printing of our posters, and to Jasmin Chang and Leo Moreton for photography.
